Sam Boyd, a Director Emeritus of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and a current Director of the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, was the Chairman of the Business Torts and Antitrust Committee for many years for the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. Despite the firm's concentration in Qui Tam or False Claims Act cases, business and securities litigation, meritorious personal injury and wrongful death cases and more complex divorce cases are often accepted.
Boyd & Associates represents plaintiffs and defendants, although we don't have an insurance defense docket. We handle a limited number of important cases, and we limit the number accepted to enable Boyd, the Senior trial lawyer, to personally handle depositions, hearings and the trial of unsettled cases. It is a priority of the firm to return client telephone calls, and to keep our clients well informed.
We handle cases on an hourly rate, and we do offer, when appropriate, either a hybrid fee (reduced hourly/contingency fee)or a straight contingency fee. We require fee paying clients to keep their accounts current, and in return we provide the services necessary to protect their interests.
We are located near SMU, and we provide free valet parking for our clients. Our central location allows our clients to avoid the downtown traffic.
Sam Boyd, a Vietnam veteran, was awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Master Parachutist's Badge, Four Bronze Stars, Three Air Medals, Three Army Commendation Medals and other recognition during his service. He was also the Distinguished Honor Graduate [1/500] of his Jump School Class # 68-22 at Fort Benning, Georgia.
